Music: Huey Lewis and the News

Have you ever wondered what happened to a favourite band or singer – perhaps from a decade or two ago? I have. For me, the 1980s were my younger years and they were full of 1980s music. I often wonder what happened to Hall and Oates, Huey Lewis and the News, etc. Today I came across an article that caught my attention – Huey Lewis and the News. I was a big fan of this group. The link below is to an article that takes a look at Huey Lewis and the News, with a good look at their greatest album (which I have) – ‘Sports.’

Last Christmas with the Crazy Frog

This is a video clip of the Crazy Frog rescuing Santa with the Last Christmas (Wham) song being played. Just another silly video for the holiday season.

THE CHASER’S WAR ON EVERYTHING: Sniffer Dogs and Meat Pushers

Now for a little comedical relief – that’s right, it’s from ‘The Chaser’s War on Everything.’ In this clip the Chaser Boys wage war on sniffer dogs and meat pushers! See below:

MASS MURDER SUICIDE IN FINLAND

Matti Juhani Saari, 22, posted a video on YouTube in which he fired an automatic pistol into the ground and warned viewers ‘You will die next.’ The police became aware of the video and detained Saari on Monday. He was allowed to walk free not long after while still retaining a gun permit and his weapon.

The following day Saari went to the Kauhajoki School of Hospitality where he was a student chef and carried out his threat. He killed nine people before turning the gun on himself. He later died in hospital along with a tenth victim of his attack.

According to suicide notes left behind, Saari said that he ‘hated mankind.’

According to the many witnesses of the massacre, Saari walked the corridors dressed in black and a ski mask firing at all and sundry.

A clip on the news of the Finnish attack is below:

A clip of his YouTube footage is below:

HURRICANE IKE AND THE BEAR???

As Hurricane Ike began its assault on Texas and the United States, a news crew filming the onslaught came across an unusual sight – a guy walking along the beach in a bear suit.

BALLS OF STEEL: THE PAIN MEN – DIY Tools

When I was recovering from the injuries I sustained in my car accident earlier this year, I tried to watch as much of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 competition as I could. One night while waiting for the cricket to come on, I happened across a particularly stupid program called ‘Balls of Steel.’ This is a comedy show on television which is really quite crude and not very funny anyway (in my opinion). What I saw first up was the following clip based on ‘The Pain Men.’ It has to be seen to be believed – unbelievable what some people will do to try and get a laugh.

THE CHASER’S WAR ON EVERYTHING – GULLIBILITY TEST: Scientology

In this clip the Chaser boys take on Scientology by conducting free gullibility tests outside a building used by the ‘Church of Scientology.’

EXPOSE ON MEGA CHURCHES???

Let me point out that this clip is not a real depiction of any particular mega-church pastor or leader. It is a satirical representation of a mega-church pastor only.

This clip seems fairly close to the mark if you ask me.
