THE CHASER’S WAR ON EVERYTHING: Citizen’s Infringement Officer – Bad Haircuts

For today’s little bit of comedy, The Chaser’s ‘Citizen’s Infringement Officer’ is cracking down on bad haircuts.

ALL AUSSIE ADVENTURES: With Russell Coight

Most people who know me know that I love the Australian bush and wilderness, and whenever I can I like to be able to get away from it all and head bush for a while.

Here in Australia there have been a number of television shows over the years that have explored the Australian outback and bush. A couple of years ago a different style of exploring Australia television shows hit the small screen – it was called ‘All Aussie Adventures,’ with Glenn Robbins playing the host Russell Coight. It was a send up of these types of shows and it always gave viewers a bit of a laugh with its light comedy.

Anyhow, I found some of the show on the Internet and thought I’d post some here for those interested in Australia from a somewhat different angle. A word of warning though – don’t take too much that Russell Coight says seriously (you’ll be led astray).

BALLS OF STEEL: THE PAIN MEN – DIY Tools

When I was recovering from the injuries I sustained in my car accident earlier this year, I tried to watch as much of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 competition as I could. One night while waiting for the cricket to come on, I happened across a particularly stupid program called ‘Balls of Steel.’ This is a comedy show on television which is really quite crude and not very funny anyway (in my opinion). What I saw first up was the following clip based on ‘The Pain Men.’ It has to be seen to be believed – unbelievable what some people will do to try and get a laugh.

THE COMPLETE WALKS OF JOHN HOWARD

‘The Chaser’s War on Everything’ is a satirical comedy series shown on the ABC in Australia. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea I’ll admit and I find some of the skits offensive myself. However, there are some quite funny skits that really make it worth a watch I think. Oftentimes they hit the nail on the head in the midst of their very funny send-ups.

With John  Howard now well and truly departed from the political scene in Australia, having lost his job to both Kevin Rudd and Maxine (in his electorate), I thought it might be time for John Howard diehards to purchase their bit of memorabilia to remember him by. What better way to remember John Howard than with owning your own copies of ‘The Complete Walks of John Howard’ can there be?
